we throught we got away with it this year becuause winter as been so mild, but then in the last 2 weeks it became very very cold!!!

Last Saturday (4 February) it started to snow, and got very windy I(Paul) was left with a problem How do I get Janet my wife back to her Repisite place in Meanwood from Woodhouse when Janet can’t get to the bus stop and Janet has panic attacks.

I had to ring loads of taxi companies, I finally found one but it couln’t get up the hill in Meanwood, so I had to help Janet walk back home. Then I had to walk all the way home as there was no Taxis or any buses so I walked home in the snow and the rain, it took me 1 hour and 20mins to get home and I was freezing.

So What was your experience of the snow do you enjoy it or will you be happy when spring comes in March.

Did you have a fantastic time   and did you get all the things you all wanted for christmas?  What did you do  for the new year did you go to a firework display or to famliys for a party  hasent the weather been mild last year and what you all doing this year are you going on holiday or having a  long weekend away with family?

Hi Everyone!

This year Learning Disability Week is very exciting! There are lots of great events!

Yesterday I went to St Mathias with the Reference Groups and we all talked about the new Your Heart Matters book. It is very good!

We had lunch together and talked about the trip to Parliament in London and the picnic on Friday!

What have you done so far and what do you think of the Stand by Me campaign?

It’s here at last  It’s Summer!!!

We love Summer it’s Sunny, don’t get dark too late and it isnt COLD

We get Wimbledon, Glastonbury and The Proms and also The Derby- great sport and Excellent Music

Everybody goes on holidays- Ibiza and The Canary Islands- Where are you going?

In Leeds we get Opera and Party in the Park, we also get Festivals like Beeston, Kirstall and Hyde Park Unity Day.

We also have the Half Marthon and the FUN RUN – are you taking part?

Schools,College and University close down.

Me and Mark have both been victims of Hate Crime and we want it stopped now!

Mencap are having a three  year project called Stand by Me which is to campaign to stop Hate Crime and get the Police, Councils and Local organisations to get more Help and advice , so more people are convicted of this terrible crime.

It is also the theme of Mencap Learning Disability Week in the Week of June 21st 2011.
